  We live within a few blocks of this store, and their pharmacy is terrible. They recently refused to fill one of my my child's pain medications and the pharmacist literally hid in order to avoid speaking with us. The next day, the head pharmacist confirmed that she should have filled the medication and offered to fill it, but offered no real apology. Their price for the medicine was $69, while Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, and Sams's Club all charge $9. The store is filthy, dark, and poorly-staffed, so we have even less reasons to shop here. Really an insulting experience that resulted in a child being in pain needlessly.

  Recently, I had to refill a prescription for an anti-depressant medication...at first they refused to fill the prescription, saying that the psychiatrist's signature had been forged because the signature was a scribble (even though I regularly fill prescriptions from my psychiatrist here, with that same signature!) I told them to call the psychiatrist, and ask about the medication, and finally, after lots arguing, they called...and my psychiatrist confirmed that the signature was indeed legit. After all that hassle, one might think that a discount may be in order, but no. The price for a 30-day supply of the anti-depressant was over $1,500.00!! I payed ONLY because I really needed the medication. Customers beware: this Walgreens pharmacy is one of the worst pharmacies in the Chicagoland area.
